After receiving a record-breaking number of entries, Clear Channel and Campaign can now reveal the shortlist for the 2018 Outdoor Media Awards.

Leading the shortlist are MyTaxi and their dynamic campaign Helping London Move More Freely, nominated in three categories: The Data Award, Innovation Award and Creativity Award.

O2 and Nestle follow closely behind, with two nominations each. O2’s Oops campaign is nominated for the Multiple Format Award and Creativity Award. Nestle’s Out Of Home Doesn’t Work campaign for Milkybar is nominated for The Innovation Award, and their San Pellegrino Fruit Beverages campaign is nominated for The Brand Fame Award.

Across all nominations, 22 separate brands and organisations are celebrated for their outstanding work in Out of Home over the past 12 months.

Three individuals are nominated in the newest category, The Rising Star Award: James Rawlings (S3 Advertising), Jay Young (Talon) and Nate Barker (MediaCom Outdoor). The award recognises those that have shown incredible enthusiasm and involvement in Out of Home advertising.

Now in its 12th year, the awards celebrate excellence in Out of Home advertising, from the most memorable, strategic and innovative campaigns, to the brilliant people involved in creating them.

The shortlist below was selected by a panel of judges made up of experts from across the media industry. Amongst them, is Verica Djurdjevic, CEO, PHD UK. She says, “The Outdoor Media Awards are a fantastic thing for the whole industry because first and foremost, they celebrate the innovation, creativity and effectiveness of the outdoor medium. There are some really significant learnings for us all within the shortlisted entries; they set a really important standard for the industry, both for established advertisers and for new entrants to the medium.”

Chris Pelekanou, Chief Customer Officer, Clear Channel UK says, “The calibre of entries for the awards is the highest it’s ever been. The bar continues upwards, which is an excellent sign for our industry. Congratulations to all of the creative, innovative and brilliant nominees on the shortlist.”

Winners will be announced at the awards on Wednesday 27th June.
