A Carbon Net Zero future
We are committed to be Carbon Net Zero by 2030 and sustainability is embedded into how we operate as a business and part of everyone’s day-to-day work lives. We are proud of our progress to date and are accelerating our journey to a Carbon Net Zero future as soon as possible, helping our industry, clients and business partners to reach their targets along the way.
Our sustainability efforts are underpinned by wider industry commitments. Since 2020, we have joined Ad Net Zero, UN Global Compact and Carbon Disclosure Project.
Our Environmental Management System is ISO 14001 accredited covering all of our business location in the UK. Each location has an environmental leader and we have a business wide Environmental Steering Committee on which four of our leadership team sit.
We have focused on reducing carbon footprint and other environmental impacts across our operations, estate and premises while pioneering other environmental initiatives and work in communities. Key initiatives to date include:
Working with our partners
Beyond our operations and estate, we have been spearheading environmental initiatives in the communities in which we operate, investing in eco projects that make a difference, volunteering to improve the environment and supporting the vital work of our charity partners.
In a collaboration with Trees for Cities we have planted over 400 trees in urban areas, bringing real benefits and a lasting legacy to our communities. Trees are a vital part of liveable cities by improving flood defense, cleaning pollutants from the air, creating green spaces that promote mental wellbeing and promoting biodiversity.
We’re also proud partners of the charity Keep Britain Tidy and our teams have been regularly participating in their Great British Spring Clean. In 2021 over 20% of our people took part across 20+ locations and spent 250+ hours litter picking.
